"The DemoTools software system for demographic research and education is organized like a toolbox. It will eventually include a whole range of simulation models, mathematical procedures, and visualization tools. These specialized software tools will all work together on the same data base. Tool #1 - a software module for cohort-component population projections - is now available on CD-ROM. Although this application is extremely easy to use, it is very powerfull and flexible. It includes default input data-sets (from the 1998 UN World Population Prospects) for all countries and major regions worldwide. With a few clicks on your mause, you can load these input data, modify them (if you wish) and run your own projections for any one of the countries and regions included."
